Meet the judging committees.

Judging Committees

We have six judging committees for the Land Awards: five for the Project Awards and one for the Individual Awards.

Each Project Awards category has its own committee of up to five external judges. The Real Estate Foundation of BC (REFBC) selects judges for their community leadership or expertise in various fields related to land use, including community planning, watershed stewardship, Indigenous-led conservation, food security, green buildings, and housing development. Committees are chaired by REFBC Governors and supported by REFBC staff.

The Individual Awards are judged by a committee that includes the past three chairs of the REFBC Board of Governors.

All judging committees will refer to the Nomination Kit during the selection process for winners and finalists.
